Empower Living is a "Community Management" company specializing in Senior Living. Based in Dallas, TX, this was initially founded in 2021 as Silver Linings Management and recently rebranded. Our experienced team operated over 40 communities over a combined 30 years of experience. 

Our Mission is "Providing Empowering, Purposeful Communities for Older Adults and Our Teammates to Thrive.

Our Core Values include Candor, Transparency, Servant Leadership, and of course, Empowerment.

We are not just third-party managers; we are also owners. When we provide value through an exciting and fulfilling experience, everyone wins.

Mark Reisman

CEO

Mark is the former CEO & CFO of a Senior Living Property Management Company that managed about 2,900 units in Texas, Florida and Oklahoma. Mark also serves as a consultant and asset manager for private equity company with senior living and multifamily communities. He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has spent two decades investing in real estate and a decade in hospitality. He is an active CPA and obtained his Master's in Senior Living Hospitality from USC's Davis School of Gerontology and a Certificate in Hospitality from Cornell University in May 2022. 

Mark grew up playing soccer and other team sports and has since coached teams and clubs, so it is no coincidence that our culture is built around teams. Mark obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Economics & Communication Studies from UC Santa Barbara. He and his family currently reside in Dallas, Texas.

John Shultz

President & COO

John has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and Seniors' Housing. He has spent many years in operational and clinical leadership roles within hospitals, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

Prior to joining Empower Living, he served as Vice President of Operations for Volante/Inspired Health Care Funds, and Senior Vice President of a Dallas, TX-based senior living company.  John is the founder of Velacare, a consulting company providing support to small to mid-size senior living organizations.  John takes the approach of collaborative and servant leadership with stakeholders while focusing on performance-based results. 

John is a Registered Nurse (RN) and has degrees in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, and Business. John and his family currently live in Keller, TX.

Robin Oder

VP of Accounting & Treasurer

Robin brings over 25 years of experience in real estate accounting to the team. She previously worked with John and Mark as the Controller & Treasurer at a local Dallas-based senior living property management company. Before that, she was the Director of Accounting at LaSalle Group with 56 Memory Care communities, a Senior Manager at Centex Homes, and Accounting Manager at CBRE.

Robin obtained her undergrad degree in Business Finance at UT Arlington with honors. On weekends, you can find Robin fishing or riding her horse. She currently resides in Whitney, Texas.

Sonny Sanchez

Director of Plant Ops & Asset Management

Sonny oversaw 28 older adult communities spanning 2,400 units while Asset Manager at ILP Asset Management. After obtaining his Civil Engineering degree from Dallas College, Mountain View, he spent time at Commercial Metals Company responsible for over $1B in commercial construction projects. He currently is also the Senior Project Manager at Spartan Reinforcing. 

Sonny is a great teammate and enjoys racing in Triathlons when he's not spending time with his family at the lake. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
